Hey guys!
Thanks to all of your suggestions on this Jinx piece, I'm really happy with how it came out in the end! I added a subtle pink wash to her eyes and some "Jinx-blue" splatters, which I think really made this piece fun and more expressive. I also ended up going over the entire background again with charcoal to bring out the lights in the figure.
I titled this piece "Be What They Fear" after a memorable scene in the show. It's a phrase that Silco would say to Jinx to mold her personality, but in the moment where Jinx says this to herself, she is confronting Vi and how her betrayal was what truly shaped her warped identity. I felt this scene encapsulated Jinx's character and motivations perfectly and I had this phrase in my mind the whole time I was working on her drawing.
I just got this piece back from the framers this week and safely submitted it to the gallery for the show!
I usually take the budget-friendly route for frames, but I actually took this piece to a professional framer this time, and I think it came out REALLY nice. I didn't get great photos of it in the frame yet, so I'll have to post those once I see it at the show (or even better, come see it in person!).

The show is at Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra, CA and the opening reception is from 5-8pm this Saturday, May 10th. Make sure to get your tickets (it's free!) beforehand on their website!
It sounds like it's gonna be a really fun and eventful night, with a panel of some of the show creators before the opening reception. I won't be there for the panel (I think the tickets for the panel sold out almost immediately) but I will be around for the opening reception!
They'll also have some Arcane-themed donuts which I'll definitely be partaking in lol.

Gallery Nucleus was a gallery I really wanted to exhibit in at least once, so this feels incredibly special to me. Having my first show be for Arcane is truly humbling, and I send my many thanks to everyone who is involved with organizing this show. I can’t wait to see my piece among all the other incredible works on Saturday!
Here’s a short sneak peek video that I’ll be posting on my socials! I’m also working on a longer video exclusively for Hideout members, where I’ll dive deeper into my process, so stay tuned for that.
If you’re going to be there on Saturday, make sure to say hi if you see me around!
