This weekend, I went to the opening reception of the Arcane Show at Gallery Nucleus!

I arrived about 30min after the reception started but there was already a huge line out the door. The crowd didn't die down the whole night which was crazy!

I saw a lot of people cosplaying as the characters and you could just feel the love everyone had for this show in the room.

It was so humbling to see my work among so many other great artists, and to be facing a whole wall of incredible concept art from the TV show!

I got to chat with one of the curators Otto (who also has a piece on the wall) and another tribute artist, Owen Freeman. We were all laughing about how much pressure we felt to do our best work because it was for one of the most artistically sophisticated animated shows out there. In the end, I think we were all really happy with how things turned out.

And of course, the REAL reason we were all there, the themed DONUTS! My friend Jon got me the cookies & cream flavored "JINX WAS HERE" donut which was divine (THANKS JON!). I love how Nucleus added even more charm to the event with these themed treats!

I had a really great night being there with my friends and getting to meet a bunch of fellow Arcane fans and artists. Thank you to my sweet friends Yenah and Jiro for the tulips!

Showing at Gallery Nucleus has been a big goal of mine, so I’m beyond happy that it happened for this show.
